VOLUNTEER

We are dependent in so many ways on our volunteers. FOL sponsors special events where help is needed, such as our Annual Used Book Sale and the Children's Festival of Reading. Library advocates are needed at community meetings and forums, to stand up for the importance of the Public Library in Knox County. Volunteers can also help with office work, mailings and on newsletter production.

So, how might you help as a volunteer? Check out the opportunities on this chart and contact the folks listed, or email the committee chairs listed on the left. Call the FOL office at 215-8775, or email info@knoxfriends.org to find out how your time and talents can support the Knox County Library!

Friends@Rothrock Used Bookshop
The Book Sale Committee needs volunteers to work one, four-hour shift per month at our used book store, Friends@Rothrock Used Bookshop.

Annual Used Book Sale
The Book Sale needs volunteers to pick up books and sort books throughout the year! Volunteers are also needed to staff the annual sale, and help with publicity and organization.
To volunteer, e-mail Book Sale Co-Chairs Maggie Carini or Jean Idell, or call the Friends office at 215-8775.
